            Career decisions feel high-stakes because they are tied to identity, security, and future stability.

           When you’re considering leaving a role, your mind typically cycles through three core fears:
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;ul&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            “What if I make the wrong move?”
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            “What if I regret leaving stability?”
           &#xD;

            “What if I don’t find anything better?

           Facts:
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;ul&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Current salary, workload, commute, progression opportunities
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Actual feedback from performance reviews
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Market demand for your skills
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/ul&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           Fears:

           This distinction matters because most career indecision is driven by unvalidated fear, not evidence.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
&lt;div data-rss-type="text"&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;h2&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Step 2: Define what you are actually moving towards
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/h2&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Most people try to solve job dissatisfaction by leaving but haven’t clearly defined where they are going. So instead of asking: “Should I leave my job?” Ask: “What conditions would make a role worth leaving for?”
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           Consider:
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;ul&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Type of work that energises you
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Leadership style you thrive under
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Growth opportunities (skills, not just promotions)
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;

           You do not need to solve your entire career in one decision.

            Informational interviews with people in target roles

            Updating your CV and testing the market quietly
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Applying to a small number of aligned roles
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Exploring internal movement before external change
           &#xD;

           This reduces emotional pressure and replaces guesswork with data.
          &#xD;

           Step 4: Reframe risk correctly
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           A common misconception is that staying is “safe” and leaving is “risky.” In reality: Staying in the wrong role has a compounding cost (lost time, stalled progression, burnout) but Leaving is a calculated risk, not a blind jump when done with preparation. The real question is not “Is change risky?” It’s “Which risk are you more willing to live with?”
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
&lt;div data-rss-type="text"&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;h2&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Step 5: Recognise when uncertainty is actually readiness
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           You are likely closer to change than you think if:
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;ul&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            You consistently think about leaving over several months
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            You’ve stopped seeing growth in your current role
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            You feel drained rather than challenged
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            You are researching alternatives regularly
           &#xD;

           At this stage, uncertainty is often not confusion, it’s transition resistance.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
&lt;div data-rss-type="text"&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;h2&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Clarity comes through movement
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/h2&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Waiting for complete certainty before making a career move is one of the most common ways people stay stuck longer than they need to. In reality, clarity rarely arrives in advance, it develops through action. The moment you start having real conversations, exploring opportunities, and engaging with the market, your thinking sharpens and your confidence grows. If you’re feeling uncertain, it’s not a sign to pause indefinitely; it’s a signal to begin testing your options in a structured way. The goal isn’t to eliminate uncertainty completely, but to build enough evidence and self-trust to move forward with confidence.

           Every day, we're engaged in actions, from heading to work to deciding to hit the snooze button in the morning. However, the catch is that most of these actions occur on autopilot. They lack intention, which brings us no closer to our life's aspirations. So, how can you shift the balance towards intentional action? 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

           Here's a simple two-step process that I have used and swear by:

           Step 1:

  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Define what success means to you. Start by getting crystal clear about what success means to you. Is it society's definition of success; a lavish lifestyle, the big car and high paying job or is it your own unique definition of accomplishment?
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Step 2: 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

Our attitude is made up of our actions, thoughts, and feelings, and mastering it can be a challenging yet important aspect of personal and professional growth.

           I definitely did. For a long time many of my choices were heavily influenced by how they would be perceived by others. This fixation on external opinions became a significant barrier for me when making big life decisions and ultimately played a role in shaping my identity for an extended period.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
&lt;div&gt;&#xD;

           As social creatures, we naturally crave connection with others and therefore want to be accepted. However, a significant part of our identity can become intertwined with how others view us. We hear phrases like "You're so smart" or "You're always so helpful," and over time, these remarks seep into our self-concept. The challenge arises when we look for change or aspire to become someone else; it disrupts the identity we've built, and we begin to wonder, "What will others say if I make this change?”
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
&lt;div data-rss-type="text"&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           But what happens when you want to transform? To become the person you aspire to be means showing up differently, and this shift does not go unnoticed by others.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           This is the reason why many of us never chase our dreams or follow our true desires, especially when those around us have already formed specific opinions about us. Perhaps you're known as the family comedian or the person who constantly prioritises others.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           For me, this hesitation held me back often in the past. When I started my coaching business, I hesitated to establish a social media presence. I had never been one to post pictures online or share things, but I realised that to grow my business and change lives, a digital presence was essential. I felt excited about the idea and confident in my abilities, so what was holding me back?
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           It was the fear of what others would think about this change. I feared that my decision to use social media in this way would raise questions and curiosity.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           This fear shows us in many areas of our lives and can be something small.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Maybe there was a time where you wanted to try out new clothes or update your appearance, but there was a thought in the back of your head: "What will they think?"
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           The turning point for me was getting absolutely clear about WHY I wanted to create my social media account. I wanted to grow my business so I could help people transform peoples lives. My vision was so powerful that it overshadowed my fear of what others might think. My WHY became the driving force that helped me overcome my apprehensions.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Life is too short to allow the opinions of others to hold you back from pursuing what you truly desire. Whether it's adjusting your style to reflect an internal change or taking a courageous step forward in your career, seize it. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Your WHY has the power to be the driving force behind your aspirations. Today, choose one thing that you've refrained from doing because of others' opinions. Discover your deep-seated reason for wanting to pursue it, and make it a habit to remind yourself of your WHY whenever those nagging doubts arise.
          &#xD;

           You don’t need to start off with huge goals if that feels uncomfortable. Start by setting a small goal, maybe it is developing a new skill over the next three months. What will you do to ensure you are working on it each week and how will you measure your progress.

           Understanding your core values and principles is essential for making career decisions that bring you purpose and fulfilment. Your personal and career values serve as your compass, guiding you towards what you want to achieve in life. Without awareness of these values, it becomes challenging to make intentional decisions that propel your career in the desired direction.

By consistently learning and honing your expertise, you position yourself as an authority in your area. This commitment to continuous improvement not only opens doors to a wealth of career opportunities but also increases your potential for promotions and higher salaries.

           Without feedback, you won't be able to pinpoint critical areas for improvement

            or recognise your strengths accurately. Self-reflection can be challenging, and our self-assessments are sometimes flawed.

It allows you to assess your progress, reevaluate your objectives, and consider how external factors or your personal interests may have changed. In our careers, change will always be a consistent. Circumstances shift, industries evolve, and personal interests may grow and transform over time. Therefore, it's essential to remain open to adapting your plans and goals accordingly.
          &#xD;

  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;

           You don't need a detailed roadmap for your career over the next decade or two, but you should but you should feel excited about the direction you are heading in. Having a reasonably clear vision for where you see yourself in the next 18 to 24 months is something I would recommend. Without this sense of direction, you risk remaining in your current position indefinitely.

  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;

           It's crucial to check in with yourself from time to time, to ensure you're still moving in the right direction. Waiting 30 years to ask this question could lead you to an unintended destination. Remember, the career path you choose has a direct and substantial impact on the quality of your life. Don't leave it to chance; navigate with purpose and seize the opportunity.

  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;

           Some days you wake up and say, “today is the day I make a change in my life, the day I register for that course, hire a coach, put my CV in for the job I've been dreaming about, prioritise my mental health, and set boundaries." You're filled with determination and enthusiasm, ready to take charge. But as the day unfolds, doubt creeps in, tasks pile up, and the familiar comfort zone tugs at you.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           By the time you come home, unfulfilled again, it's easy to start beating yourself up. You might tell yourself that you were too busy and that you'll do it tomorrow, that things are not as bad as you think they are.

    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Deep down, you know that this is a lie you tell yourself to justify not changing. You might even sometimes wonder what is wrong with you, why can’t you do it when everyone else seems to achieve what they want. You tell yourself that things will get better at work, you will get that promotion and you will have more money to start making the changes you want. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           This is also a lie you have been telling yourself for years. The truth is, there is never a right time to change careers, invest money in yourself or to start prioritising your mental and physical health. There will always be challenges and distractions. Ultimately, it just comes down to how bad you want to change your life and what you are willing to do to achieve it.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;

           Why is it so hard to make changes?
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/h2&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;

      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            You may not have invested the time or money to uncover what it is you truly want to achieve in your life. If someone asked you today, what do you want to achieve in your lifetime or what do you want your legacy to be, would you be able to tell them?
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            You do not believe in yourself or your abilities, and you have so many negative beliefs about yourself that you now think you will never be able to achieve your goals in life.

      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            You have convinced yourself that you do not have the money, time, motivation or willpower to require what you really want.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            You are terrified of being judged by family, friends and others. You fear what everyone will think if you try and fail.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/ul&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           To make any change in your life, you need to make a conscious decision to make the change
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            . You need to make a committed decision that you will do everything to achieve your goal regardless of what people say or think.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           You only have one life and you only one chance to live it to its fullest. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;

            If I continue my current habits, what will the relationship be that I have with my spouse, family, or future child?

            If I continue to live my life the way I am right now, will I have regrets at the end of my life?

Limiting beliefs stop us from doing the important things, like applying for our dream job, travelling the world with our best friends, or from finding our soulmate. They act as mental barriers, whispering self-doubt and fear into our minds.

  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;

           In order to achieve great success you need to change these beliefs.

            Pay attention to your thoughts and emotions

           What exactly are Limiting Beliefs?

           Limiting beliefs are deeply held thoughts or beliefs that hold us back from pursuing our goals and dreams in life. They have a profound impact on our lives, holding us back from reaching our full potential and exploring new horizons. Limiting beliefs stop us from doing the important things, like applying for our dream job, travelling the world with our best friends, or from finding our soulmate. They act as mental barriers, whispering self-doubt and fear into our minds. What if we could break free from these constraints? What if we could transform our thoughts and beliefs to empower ourselves? In this blog, we will delve into the realm of limiting beliefs, understand their influence, and explore effective strategies to overcome them. Let's embark on a journey of self-discovery and liberation.

           Where do they come from?
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

           Firstly, let’s take a look at where limiting beliefs come from. Limiting beliefs originate from various sources and experiences throughout our lifetime. The most common ways beliefs are formed are from childhood experiences, media and external influences or trauma. Limiting beliefs are formed to protect us from fear and pain. When formed, they usually serve us in some way for a period of time. For example, let’s say you were a quirky child, someone who did things a little differently. You never felt like you fitted in anywhere and didn’t have many friends. This led to you forming a belief that you are not lovable when you are fully yourself. Maybe as a result you started to hide things about yourself, not letting people get to know the real you. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           As a result you started to fit in with other people, started to make more friends and showed interest in family activities. This served you as a child by preventing you from the pain of feeling like an outsider. Now as an adult this belief is preventing you from finding your true passion in life, the right partner or friendship circle. It is preventing you from chasing your deepest desires and dreams, ultimately preventing you from reaching your full potential. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
&lt;div data-rss-type="text"&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;h2&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Types of Limiting Beliefs:
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/h2&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           "I'm not smart/talented/creative enough."
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           "I don't deserve happiness/success/love."
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           "I can't change; this is just the way I am."
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           "I'll never be able to achieve my dreams."
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

           "Money is evil."
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

           "I'm too old/young to start something new."

           "If I try, I'll only disappoint myself or others."

           "I always mess things up."

           Overcoming these limiting beliefs is one of the most precious gifts we can give to ourselves. It is not a straight forward process dissolving beliefs we have carried with us all our lives but it is definitely worth the journey. Dissolving these beliefs is a transformative process that requires self-reflection, perseverance, and intentional action.

           A Three-Step-Guide to eliminate Limiting beliefs:
          &#xD;

  &lt;h2&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           1. Pay attention to your thoughts and emotions 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/h2&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
&lt;div data-rss-type="text"&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            The first step in overcoming limiting beliefs is to become aware of them. Many of our beliefs come from our unconscious mind, meaning that most of the time we are not aware of them. The best way to become aware of them is to start paying attention to your thoughts and emotions. When you feel yourself holding back or fearful to do something, ask yourself why?
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Where does this fear come from and what is it telling me? 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Start following the thread until you have an idea of where that belief is stemming from.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
&lt;div data-rss-type="text"&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;h2&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           2. Challenge your Beliefs 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/h2&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
&lt;div data-rss-type="text"&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Question your beliefs.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Ask yourself if they are real or just assumptions
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           . Do you have evidence to back them up? Often our beliefs have gone unquestioned for so long that they are no longer true or were never true. Search for counterexamples and alternative perspectives that contradict them. By challenging your beliefs and questioning the validity, they will no longer have such a strong hold over you.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
&lt;div data-rss-type="text"&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;h2&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           3. Replace them with empowering beliefs 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/h2&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
&lt;div data-rss-type="text"&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Once you are aware of your beliefs and know that they are not true, it is time to replace them with more powerful beliefs.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           So if your belief was
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
            "I don't deserve happiness/success/love"
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           change it to
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
             "I deserve happiness/success/love and I am working hard to create a life I love".
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Do you see how much more empowering this is? It might feel weird at the start but keep doing it. Overtime your subconscious mind will begin to believe it and this will become your new belief.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
&lt;div data-rss-type="text"&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;h2&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Take small steps
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/h2&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Overcoming limiting beliefs requires action. Start by taking small steps outside your comfort zone daily. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself, just take small steps that bring you closer to your goal. The more action you take the more it will reaffirm your belief. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
&lt;div data-rss-type="text"&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;h2&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Show yourself Compassion
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/h2&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            The final and most important step is embracing compassion. It’s often easy to judge ourselves and our flaws, but this will not help you move forward. Treat yourself with compassion and understanding when changing your limiting beliefs. Everyone has challenges and will have setbacks at some stage in their life.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;h2&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Be proud of yourself that you are taking steps to improve your life.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/h2&gt;&#xD;

    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

           Overcoming limiting beliefs is a transformative journey. As a life coach I have had the pleasure of seeing many individuals overcome their limiting beliefs and go on to achieve amazing things. By cultivating self-awareness, challenging our beliefs, and taking inspired action, we can replace limiting beliefs with empowering ones. Empowering beliefs ultimately give us the confidence to go out into the world and achieve our full potential.

           Have you ever felt envy towards someone else’s success?
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
&lt;div data-rss-type="text"&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           A friend announces they are in a new relationship, or a colleague gets that promotion you were wishing for and you suddenly feel this wave of jealousy come over you. These feelings are rooted in envy, which are triggered by social comparison where people compare themselves to others and feel inadequate. Envy is a natural human emotion which everyone experiences and does not need to be a negative experience. If approached with a healthy mindset, envy can be a signal which will direct you towards what you really want in life. It can highlight if you are performing at a lower level than what is required to reach your goals or it can make you aware of a desire you didn’t know you had. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Let’s take the above example, a colleague of yours has just received a promotion you were hoping to get. This may trigger some feelings of jealousy and resentment towards them. This is normal as you have similar aspirations as your colleague and were hoping you would get the promotion. You can’t control these feelings, but you can control how you respond to them. This is your opportunity to turn your envy into inspiration and how you respond will decide where you go next. If you were to let these feelings fester it may have a strain on your work relationship. You may get into a negative mindset where you start to tell yourself that you are undervalued or unappreciated. All of this will impact your mental health and your confidence and may result in you responding to the situation in not a kind way. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           There is an alternative, you could allow this situation to inspire you to achieve similar or greater success than your colleague. You could allow the envy to highlight areas where you are lacking in comparison to your colleague. You could reach out to them for advice and discover how they achieved their success. By doing all of this, you are taking this opportunity to reflect and identify areas of improvement which will lead to even greater success in the future.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Do you see how different both outcomes are? While you could not change the situation, you had control in how you let it influence your mindset. Envy, though often seen as a negative emotion, can often motivate individuals in a positive way. In this situation envy was the catalyst for personal growth and self-improvement.  
           &#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;

    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;

           How to overcome envy and use it for your development
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

           Overcoming envy can be a challenging process, but with self-awareness and proactive steps, such as the below, it is possible.

            When someone experiences jealousy it is usually accompanied by feelings of shame. This is because jealousy is viewed as a negative emotion associated with insecurity and pettiness, which we now know it is not. This leads to feelings of shame as people believe they should not be having these emotions.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

           To overcome feelings of envy, you first need to cultivate a healthier relationship with it and this can only be achieved by removing shame.

            If you are beating yourself up about feeling jealous you will not be able to motivate yourself to see the positive in the situation. So, the next time you feel envy, remind yourself that it is a normal human emotion experienced by many people.

           Gratitude has been proven to have huge positive effects both mentally and physically. It has been shown to decrease depression, anxiety and difficulties with chronic pain. Gratitude can also be a great antidote to envy and can help individuals overcome its negative effects. When practising gratitude you are focusing on everything you have in your life which shifts the focus from what you don’t have to what you do have. This helps you cultivate healthy emotions such as contentment and joy which increases overall life satisfaction.

           What are personal values?
          &#xD;

    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Your personal values are like a compass, they help you navigate your way forward in life. They serve as a powerful tool at your disposal when you are not sure what decision to make next. You may be looking for your dream career, want to discover your passions in life, or just ready to take life in a new direction. I believe values to be one of the most important things a person should know about themselves. You see, values sit behind every decision we make in life, either consciously or unconsciously. When we are aware of them they make our decision making process a lot easier and ensure we are aligning our decisions with our most authentic self. However, when we are not aware of them problems start to appear. We make decisions that do not align with what is important to us, the things that bring us the most satisfaction in life. Have you ever made an important decision and regretted it afterwards? Perhaps you made the decision and then had this feeling at the pit of your stomach signalling something was not right? More than likely the decision you made was not in alignment with your highest values. Understanding what your values are will help you prevent mistakes and help you create a more meaningful life.
          &#xD;

           Discovering your personal values is the beginning of a self-discovery journey that will help you look inward. You will begin to understand your truest self, your needs and desires, and your passions in life. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           When uncovering values, I usually get my clients to think back to a time when they felt most at ease in their life. This might be just a particular day or period in their life, it may even be the present day. I get them to really visualise that time in their life, the people they were with, the feelings they experienced and what was going on around them.
           &#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
&lt;div data-rss-type="text"&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;h3&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Ready to discover your values?
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/h3&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
&lt;div data-rss-type="text"&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Start
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            by thinking about some of the most meaningful moments in your life and what made them meaningful to you. For example, perhaps it was a summer where you spent a lot of time with family and friends going on adventures and trying new things.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Next
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            , ask yourself what did that
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           moment do for you. Using the above example let’s say that moment gave you a sense of adventure, connection, excitement and love. Then dig deeper by asking what was important about the sense of adventure and excitement. Maybe it was the feeling of freedom and spontaneity. You could keep asking the above question until you get 8 – 10 values.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Let’s take the values uncovered so far:
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;ul&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Family
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Friendships
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Adventure
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Connection
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Excitement 
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Love 
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Freedom
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Spontaneity
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/ul&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Once you have a list of values, list them from the top down in terms of importance to you. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Your highest value should be at the very top of your list. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
&lt;div data-rss-type="text"&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Now you have the tools to align your decisions with your values
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
&lt;div data-rss-type="text"&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           As we have discovered, knowing our personal values has many benefits. When we consider our values in decision making, you can be ensured that you are doing what is right for your current and future happiness. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Let’s take the above list of values we uncovered. Imagine these are your values and you have just been offered a promotion at work. It comes with a higher salary, a bigger team and more responsibility that requires you to work more weekends. By looking at your values list, it is likely to say if you took the promotion, the outcome would not align with what is most important to you in life. While you would get a higher salary which may provide you with more freedom, it would likely result in you spending less time with family and friends, resulting in less connection and moments of spontaneous adventure. Once you take on the role you would be compromising your values to fulfil your responsibilities at work. This would likely lead to decreased life satisfaction over time.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Do you see how quickly we can make a wrong decision if we do not take the time to consider our values. How do we prevent this from happening? The answer is simple, we need to consider if our decisions will give us more or less of what we want in life. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Asking yourself this question everyday will help you consider what you will gain from a certain decision and what you will lose. If you are losing more than you are gaining that may be the signal that you are not making the right decision for yourself. Ultimately it is your personal values that can help you make decisions that align with your most authentic self. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
&lt;div data-rss-type="text"&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Your personal values might change over time
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
&lt;div data-rss-type="text"&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Now that you understand what personal values are, you can start your self-discovery journey and identify yours. The journey might not always be straightforward and as easy as we would like but it is worth it. There may be days when your decisions won’t align with your values, and you will need to reset the course. That is okay, just because you know your values does not mean you will never make a mistake again. Your values will guide your decisions and influence your actions to help you make the best decision at that time in your lives. Your values may also change over time, priorities might shift or circumstances in your life might change. We need to be open to adapting our values to the different stages in our life. Just because something was important to us a few years ago doesn’t mean it will be important to us today. This is why it is important to check in every now and again to revaluate your values. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;

           Uncovering what you value most in life will help you create a vision for your life that is beyond anything you imagined. Start the journey towards becoming your most authentic self today.
